Holiday Special Diorama is now coming later this year, right on time(!) and complete with four minifigures.

Those will apparently consist of Rey, Finn, Chewbacca and BB-8, marking the first time we’ve seen the sequel trilogy gang in a new set since The Rise of Skywalker was in cinemas. This set seemingly won’t follow

freebie before, or perhaps as a /-exclusive set. Either way, the theme suggests it will likely debut in the second half of 2023, closer to the festive season.

We don’t have much else to go on at the moment, and even these details should be taken with a grain of salt – but across a portfolio otherwise dominated by the prequel trilogy, The Clone Wars, the original trilogy, The Mandalorian and (potentially) Ahsoka, sequel trilogy fans will likely just be grateful to squeeze in anywhere at this stage.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
