LEGO Star Wars UCS Venator is (annoyingly) very, very good

We got our hands on LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser and some people won’t want to hear what we have to say.

When it comes to enormous LEGO Star Wars UCS sets, LEGO fans are split into two camps: those who will instantly be buying the designed-for-display models and those who are looking for any good reason not to hand over a huge stack of LEGO budget (£559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99, to be precise). If you’re in the latter group, you may want to look away now.

Somehow, 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser manages to bring something new to the long line of LEGO Star Wars UCS models, while still evoking that old-school nostalgia of the prequel movies. Not only that but there are clear differences between this and 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer that highlight that the LEGO Group is learning from every new ship of this size and scale. There aren’t just stylistic comparisons to be made between 75367 and its UCS forebears; you can also see how the sub-theme is growing and evolving with each new addition to the list.

Still, you probably don’t want to just read what we thought about 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. Brick Fanatics‘ Matthew got his hands on 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser and has summed up his thoughts in a video, so you can see the 109cm-long ship from every angle over on our YouTube channel. You can watch via the embedded video below, or go and share your thoughts on the video itself here.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
