LEGO stop motion animator brings Disney 100 set to life

The latest episode of Disney’s Making Wonder series features a colourful animation of LEGO Disney 43215 The Enchanted Treehouse.

Disney’s Making Wonder series began back in April, featuring behind-the-scenes looks at several LEGO Disney sets released for the 100th anniversary of the company. From making LEGO DOTS dresses to sending a LEGO set soaring into the sky, there’s a lot to see and imagine.

Joining hosts Mari Copeny and Nicole Laeno for the fifth and final episode is LEGO stop motion animator Kevin Ulrich. He showed the two presenters how he expanded 43215 The Enchanted Treehouse to encompass a wider brick-built environment, featuring a winding river and colourful forest.

Using this vibrant setting, Kevin puts Mari and Nicole’s vivid imaginations to work, animating an adventurous ride down a rapid-filled river. Minidoll versions of Mulan, Mirabel, and Moana (the power of M-named) attempt to rescue the boat as it speeds towards a waterfall, but it’s ultimately Tinkerbell and her fairy powder that come to the rescue.
