LEGO Store Birmingham opens today

The LEGO Store in Birmingham’s Bullring and Grand Central shopping centre opens today, in time for the weekend’s VIP shopping event.

After number of years without one, Birmingham finally has a LEGO Store again. Located in the Bullring and Grand Central, the officially branded store is opening today ready for this weekend’s pre-Black Friday deals.

The store is set to contain all the modern hallmarks of the official LEGO shopping experience, including the minifigure scanner that debuted with Leicester Square’s flagship store. There is also the promise of “state of the art dynamic lighting that will enhance the in-store experience and create a unique multi-sensory experience for customers”, which will mean more after customers have experienced it today.

As well as selling all of they exclusive sets, the official store will offer in-store play experiences, activities and events.

The Grand Opening of the store will take place from December 12 until December 15, when the first 500 people in-store each day will receive an exclusive ‘I love LEGO Store Birmingham’ tile. There will also be a promotion for those spending over £100 to get 40337 LEGO Gingerbread House and those spending over £125 will also get a special LEGO Store set that is available at such events.

The LEGO Hidden Side bus will be stopping by for the grand opening, so fans should watch out for gloom points.

“We cannot wait to bring more play experiences, fun and building to Birmingham. The new store is loaded full of exciting LEGO big builds, play areas and activities,” said Alison Wood, LEGO District Manager. ” You can even build your own minifigure and take it home, something that is unique to LEGO Stores.”
