LEGO stores offering free Lantern build to celebrate Ramadan

The LEGO Group will be celebrating this year’s Ramadan by offering a free LEGO Lantern build, available from select stores.

There have been a number of recent special events held at LEGO stores, offering visitors the opportunity to pick up some fun freebies. Most recently the LEGO Group began celebrating Easter with an in-store egg hunt that’s currently running until next weekend, as well as a LEGO mini rose for Mother’s Day and cards and a Heart build for Valentine’s Day.

The latest event is due to start next week and sees the LEGO Group celebrating Ramadan. Visitors to select LEGO Stores in the UK will be able to build a Lantern model and take it home for free. Stores participating in the event over the weekend of April 23-24 include Westfield London, Westfield Stratford, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Leeds, Watford and Bluewater.

Visitors to one of the stores listed above will need to pop in between the hours of 10am-12pm on April 23 and 12pm-2pm on April 24 to pick up the build. There are no specific details on LEGO.com as to what the Lantern looks like, although the main promotional image does suggest what the final multicoloured model might be.
