LEGO drops social media tease for something ‘shiny’ at British Grand Prix

The LEGO Group has dropped another tease for a secret something, coming soon at the Silverstone British Grand Prix 2025.

The Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone is just a few days away, taking place between Friday, July 4 and Sunday, July 6. LEGO Store Battersea is organising a watchalong and some form of surprise, and now it seems that the LEGO Group on the ground at Silverstone is also planning something new.

The LEGO Group shared a video of a rotating golden brick, obscured by more gold flakes, with the caption: “Something shiny is coming.” Underneath, it wrote: “See you at the FORMULA 1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2025.”

This certainly suggests something special is on the way, perhaps a special golden brick, similar to the exclusive prints releases for new LEGO stores opening, or otherwise an all-gold build of some kind. A LEGO trophy in golden bricks would make for a fitting Make & Take for those on the ground at the Grand Prix.

There’s no other clues to go on, but with only a few days left until the Grand Prix gets underway, we won’t have too long to wait and find out.
