LEGO teases Jurassic World Rebirth announcement with fresh look at new dino

The LEGO Group has launched a teaser page for its new Jurassic World Rebirth range, complete with a fresh look at one of its brand new dinosaurs.

Universal yesterday revealed its full slate of merchandising partners for Jurassic World Rebirth, the next instalment in the dinosaur-first franchise, giving us a first look at four new LEGO dinos joining the range this summer. Among those are a Spinosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Titanosaurus and Mosasaurus – and LEGO.com has now given us an alternative angle on the Spinosaurus.

The landing page for the Jurassic World theme at LEGO.com teases ‘new sets roaring soon’, suggesting a full reveal of this summer’s LEGO Jurassic World Rebirth sets is right around the corner. The graphic is accompanied by a render of the new Spinosaurus from a different angle, showing off its chunky back legs – borrowed from the LEGO T. rex – and the protruding spine from which it gleans its name.

It’s not yet clear which of these dinos might come in each of the LEGO Jurassic World sets rumoured for summer 2025, but with price points ranging from $24.99 to $149.99 there’s plenty of scope for them to be as cheap or expensive to acquire as you could imagine. The moulded dinos typically bump up the price by a fair bit, so we’d be surprised to see the Spinosaurus in a set costing less than $49.99.

More likely you’ll be getting something like the Quetzalcoatlus in a $24.99 set, while the Titanosaurus will likely be reserved for one of the models said to cost $99.99 or $149.99. We’ll hopefully learn about this summer’s dino distribution very soon, so keep an eye on Brick Fanatics in the days and weeks ahead for more…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
