LEGO Technic Hong Kong pop-up offers STEM experience

A pop up LEGO Store in Hong Kong is offering STEM workshops and a look at new LEGO Technic sets.

At Olympian City in Hong Kong, the LEGO Group has launched a pop-up store with Technic sets on display and STEM workshops to get involved with, Inside Retail Asia reports. It will be open to guests until July 5.

The new concept store has a strong digital component, encouraging visitors to use their smartphones to scan points of interest. STEM workshops allow beginners and those with more knowledge to get hands-on.

It is part of a scheme by Olympian City to promote STEM education at the shopping centre. It is the first pop-up at the mall’s Pop Gallery, a platform that uses big data technologies to source trending products worldwide. Visitors to the store can access exclusive offers by interacting with AI-enabled kiosks or engage in live games.

Each day the pop-up is open from 10.00am until 9.00pm.
