Every LEGO Technic set retiring in 2024 and beyond – January update
From 42157 John Deere 948L-II Skidder to 42158 NASA Mars Rover Perseverance, here’s a complete list of LEGO Technic sets retiring in 2024 and beyond.
The LEGO Group has shuffled around a few retirement dates across the current LEGO portfolio to mark the start of 2024, pulling forward two models while pushing back four others. 42152 Firefighter Aircraft and 42157 John Deere 948L-II Skidder were originally scheduled to retire in 2025 and 2026 respectively, but are now both due to leave production by the end of this year.
On the other side of the coin, 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, 42130 BMW M 1000 RR, 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car and 42151 Bugatti Bolide were initially destined to be gone by the year’s end – but have now all been handed an additional 12 months on shelves. If a new LEGO Technic 1:8 supercar arrives this summer (they traditionally drop every two years), a total of three will be available simultaneously in 2025.
At the moment, only five sets from the current portfolio are due to continue production in 2026, including a pair of summer 2023 sets and three of the upcoming March 2024 releases.
