LEGO The Incredibles video game is coming soon

LEGO The Incredibles will be the next video game release for fans of TT Games’ long running gaming franchise.

With the LEGO Juniors sets based on The Incredibles 2 showing up at retail in the USA, The Brick Fan reports that the instruction book confirmed that a video game based on the Disney Pixar property is on the way. This confirms a rumour that made the rounds some months ago, suggesting that LEGO DC Super Villains could also be on the cards.

The Incredibles lends itself well to the LEGO video game template – there are two movies to cover, or will be by the time it is released, and plenty of fun extra missions that the TT Games developers can dream up. What is more, each member of the super hero family has a special ability. With character abilities being key to the LEGO video games formula, it makes perfect sense that this particular Pixar property would be adapted in the series. The last Disney property to get the treatment, outside of Star Wars, was Pirates of the Caribbean in 2011.

As far as platforms go, the print ad confirms that the game will be available on PS4, XBOX One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The LEGO Juniors Incredibles 2 sets are expected to launch officially on May 1. The Incredibles 2 arrives in cinemas on July 13 in the UK and June 15 in the USA.
