LEGO The Legend of Zelda is now ready for the 2027 movie

The reveal of a new LEGO The Legend of Zelda puts the LEGO Group in a more advantageous position ahead of a major 2027 release.

77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle launches on March 1, 2026, taking the place of 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 before that older set retires on July 31, 2026. That date is subject to change, but with a newer The Legend of Zelda model coming out, it makes sense to retire the old one sooner rather than later.

This now puts the LEGO Group in a good position ahead of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda movie. Previous plans for retiring sets meant that the LEGO Group would have retired 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 before the movie in March 2027, but it is now delayed to May.

With 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle scheduled to retire at the end of 2027, that should give the set seven months on shelves following the movie to boost sales. The character designs for Link and Zelda have also been revealed, confirming that while Zelda is based on her Breath of the Wild outfit, Link has his signature green tunic, such as the one from Ocarina of Time.

While 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 would have been a preferable set to have available alongside the film in this regard, 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle at least features Link in that iconic outfit. Either way, the LEGO Group’s current retirement dates slate means that they will have a relevant build on shelves when the upcoming The Legend of Zelda movie finally arrives in theatres.

You can secure a pre-order of 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle right now for £99.99 / $129.99 / €119.99, and 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 is still available ahead of its July retirement.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
