LEGO The Simpsons rumoured to play it safe in 2025

LEGO The Simpson’s rumoured return via a Krusty Burger set is said to come with minifigures that are playing it safe despite other options.

10352 Krusty Burger is rumoured to be a new LEGO The Simpsons set coming next year depicting the chain restaurant of the same name from Springfield. Alone, this is an exciting report but there’s another aspect of the rumour that may be more exciting.

It’s also rumoured that the minifigures in this set will be keeping the unique moulded character heads that the original The Simpsons used rather than the simpler style that was depicted in the Brick Like Me crossover episode of The Simpsons. Those minifigures used standard heads with new elements needed for the hair where necessary. The difference between the two styles remains vast but it would likely be more affordable for the LEGO Group to embrace the Brick Like Me style.

Instead, it’s rumoured that they’re sticking with the original style of minifigures for the reported 10352 Krusty Burger, even after 10 years since the unique head elements were last used and the status of the original moulds is unclear. It may be that they’ve been kept for a decade or that new versions of them will be created for whichever characters are to be released in 2025.

We discussed what future LEGO The Simpsons minifigures might look like in light of earlier 2025 rumours in a recent video. Arguably the best scenario would be the return of the original minifigures for a sense of nostalgia, consistency and accuracy and rumour has it that this is going to be the case.

Take all LEGO rumours with caution until more is officially announced, especially given the recent state of the rumour mill. You can see everything that’s currently rumoured for all LEGO themes in 2025 by clicking here.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
