LEGO Titanic is said to be getting a follow-up in 2026

Another White Star Line ship is said to be joining the LEGO Icons line-up in 2026, sailing on to shelves in the wake of 2021’s 10294 Titanic.

BrickTap claims that the LEGO Icons 2026 range will include a set based on a vessel from British shipping line White Star Line, the same company behind the Titanic. There are no further details on when it might release, how big it might be, how much it might cost or even which ship it may recreate, but we do have a blueprint of sorts thanks to the 9,090-piece 10294 Titanic, which debuted at the end of 2021.

That enormous microscale model is still available almost four years later, and is currently scheduled to retire at the end of 2028 – making it the only non-2025 LEGO Icons set with that date. That suggests the ship, which is also the longest LEGO set of all time at 135cm, has been selling very well for the LEGO Group, so a follow-up doesn’t seem especially surprising.

LEGO 10294 Titanic FEATURED 1024x576

If this rumour does prove true, it’ll be interesting to see whether it has the same grand scope and scale as the Titanic – so two sets of comparable subject matter and size end up sharing shelf space simultaneously – or whether it comes in at a different, perhaps smaller, size to better differentiate between the two models. It’ll be equally interesting to see which White Star Line ship it recreates.

Strong contenders include the Oceanic, Atlantic and Republic, all of which are Oceanic-class ocean liners (as opposed to the Titanic’s Olympic class), and the latter two of which are also remembered for respective disasters: the Atlantic sunk near Nova Scotia in 1873, while the Republic went down after colliding with the SS Florida in 1909.

With little else to go on at the time of writing, best to take this rumour with an incredibly hefty pinch of salt. 10294 Titanic, on the other hand, is very much real and available to order now. For a full rundown of 2026 LEGO sets, head here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Perhaps Majestic (the only White Star liner that’s not Olympic class that has any real clout (albeit long forgotten) and would also equal the grandiose of the Titanic kit (which I’ve built twice and now safe back in the box.. until tomorrow).

Or even Homeric, which while an odd choice would be nice, she deserves more credit.

Both of course German built, then seized as war reparations. However, they spent their careers at the top of the pack for White Star none the less.

I’m sorry I crossed them, the britannic was the hospital ship that was sunk where the Olympic was scrapped after the depression

I think the three sisters would be perfect. We have the Titanic so either the Olympic or the Britannic would be amazing especially if the Olympic is the repainted livery of a hospital ship

I know it’s not white star line but I’d love to see the SS United States with it being made a reef here soon

Given most modern cruise ships are massive compared to the Titanic, anything they create won’t be to any true scale. I do like the ice berg idea

She’s Cunard rather than White Star, but the RMS Carpathia would go well with the Titanic model, as the first responding ship to arrive

A correction on the Oceanic-class of the 1870s – of the four ships of the class (SS Oceanic, Atlantic, Baltic, and Republic) only Atlantic and Baltic sank and of those two only Atlantic sank with loss of life. The RMS Republic that sank in 1909 after being struck by the Florida was a later and substantially larger ship built in 1903.

Queen Mary was a Cunard-White Star vessel, so it depend on how pedantic they’re going to be about the successor lines. Can’t really think of any pure White Star Line vessels that would be famous enought to drive sales. Olympic would just be Titanic with a different name plate essentially, and even Britannic in her Hospital ship would just be a re-colour – both of which would be disappointing…
