LEGO gifts Wimbledon winner with 3,000-piece strawberry model

Iga Swiatek’s recent Wimbledon victory has been celebrated by the LEGO Group with a huge brick-built strawberry gifted to the player.

Last week’s Wimbledon ladies’ singles final saw 24-year-old Iga Swiatek beat Amanda Anisimova with a decisive victory, the first women’s final at the tournament in 114 years in which one player failed to claim a single game.

That sporting milestone has been commemorated by LEGO Poland, which has gifted Iga with a giant LEGO strawberry model, one that’s been assembled from 3,000 pieces. The large red fruit even boasts a minifigure of the player herself inside, one that can be seen holding a tennis racquet and a tiny bowl of strawberries.

The strawberry model is the third custom LEGO build that Iga has received from the company, with the Polish sporting superstar named as an official brand ambassador for LEGO Poland back in 2024.

Last year, Iga was sent a replica of Court Philippe-Chatrier, complete with attached ‘Iga’s Bakery’, plus miniature versions of her team and cat to mark her third consecutive and fourth Roland Garros singles title, as well as a LEGO replica of her Technifibre racquet.

In an Instagram post to share details of the LEGO strawberry build, Iga said that, “This will remind me how important the small pleasures and joys in life are.”

In a statement regarding the model, Maciej Selinski, general manager of LEGO Poland, Ukraine and the Baltics said that Iga’s victory “is a moment that will go down in the history of Polish sport, and we wanted to celebrate it in a way that was not only personal but also happy and filled with LEGO’s signature creativity.

This unique present is not only a tribute to Iga’s success, but also a celebration of the values that are close to both her and to us as a brand: perseverance, courage, authenticity, and above all, childlike joy and a passion for creation.”
