LEGO x Fortnite collaboration possibly confirmed

Epic Games' press release regarding recent layoffs includes mention of what is rumoured to be the codename for a LEGO Fortnite collaboration.

Around 16% of Epic Games' employees are being laid off, the company has announced. As unfortunate as the announcement is, they have confirmed that a severance package including six months base pay and, in the US / Canada / Brazil, six months of Epic-paid healthcare is being provided.

However, the latter part of the press release mentions something that may be of particular interest to LEGO enthusiasts.

"We are still focused on shipping our must succeed initiatives: the next Fortnite Season and Fortnite Chapter 5, Del Mar, Sparks, and Juno. Their schedules remain in place." reads the press release.

According to initial rumours of the collaboration, Juno is the codename for the LEGO partnership and this is the first official mention of such a project, suggesting that it may have been inadvertently confirmed. While the press release mentions a schedule for the Juno project, exactly what the timeline is has not been confirmed.

The LEGO Group has entered into a partnership with Epic Games to make the metaverse safer. This has so far included a huge investment but nothing involving Fortnite just yet.
