LEGO Marvel X-Men 5009015 Cerebro gift-with-purchase revealed

Early adopters of the newly-revealed LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion will receive a free copy of 5009015 Cerebro, an exclusive gift-with-purchase available at launch.

Unveiled today, 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is the latest LEGO Marvel modular building, and will drop on November 1 for LEGO Insiders (and November 4 for everyone else) for £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99. And just as it did with 76269 Avengers Tower last year, the LEGO Group is hoping to entice day one purchases with an exclusive LEGO Marvel gift-with-purchase.

This time it’s anchored around the X-Men (as you’d expect), depicting Professor Charles Xavier’s mutant-detecting machine Cerebro on a much larger scale than you’ll find it in the X-Mansion model. The 153-piece yellow-boxed freebie includes an exclusive Xavier minifigure in a unique outfit (though using entirely pre-existing pieces, so you can put him together yourself pretty easily).

There’s also a printed ‘Cerebro’ element at the base of the model, while the trans-blue screen on the console features what may be a sticker or a print of Jubilee, a character who isn’t included in either this set or the X-Mansion. No wonder Charles is looking for her.

5009015 Cerebro is available exclusively for LEGO Insiders purchasing 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion from November 1 to 7, or while stocks last. Given how quickly the last set-exclusive gift-with-purchase – 40730 Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber, which was free when buying 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge – disappeared, we wouldn’t expect this one to survive for that entire seven-day window.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
