LEGOLAND California welcomes first Nike Play Arena experience

The first-ever Nike and LEGO Play Arena has opened its doors at LEGOLAND California, offering hoopers of all ages a variety of fun activities.

The LEGO Group and Nike announced a multi-year global partnership last year, with the fruits of that collaboration having recently been revealed. In addition to 43008 Nike Dunk launching on July 1, the Nike Air Max Dn x LEGO Collection arrives on August 1, the Nike Dunk Low x LEGO Collection on September 1, and more sets will be revealed later this summer.

Beyond physical releases, the two companies are also teaming up for a variety of in-person events, the first of which kicks off at LEGOLAND California this weekend. The Nike and LEGO Play Arena opens its doors exclusively at the theme park from June 7 to June 11, offering kids and families a range of basketball-themed experiences included with general admission tickets.

Guests who visit the limited-time event can create their own LEGO minifigure character trading cards featuring stylish Nike outfits and share them with friends. There’s also the chance to make mini brick-built LEGO basketball jerseys to display on the walls of the attraction for all to see.

Rounding out the Nike and LEGO Play Arena is the opportunity for visitors to test their sports skills by shooting the ultimate 3-pointer on a specially-designed court that brings basketball to life in LEGO form and take a photo against the Wall of Fame.

The Nike and LEGO Play Arena can be found opposite LEGOLAND California’s recently reopened Driving School, a revamped attraction at the theme park where kids can take part in competitive races, make their own official LEGOLAND Driver’s License and much more.
