Massive LEGO Super Mario set gets a Minecraft makeover
LEGO 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block is a perfect base for a huge Minecraft model, both in shape and concept.
Reddit user DJ_HardLogic has shared their idea for a Minecraft makeover of 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block, offering an entirely different direction for massive LEGO Minecraft models.
Their build transforms the Question Mark Block into a crafting table and replaces each of the levels with a dimension or area from Minecraft. These include the Nether, the End, the Overworld and an underground cave. Additional details include miniature Minecraft figures as well as a layer of grass and water for the overworld section to rest on.
Previously, huge LEGO Minecraft sets have only included minifigure-scale models – 21137 The Mountain Cave and 21128 The Village. Other themes include different kinds of massive sets, but LEGO Minecraft has yet to expand into other areas.
This fan-made model could offer inspiration for how LEGO Minecraft could expand in the future but even if it doesn’t, it’s a good example of how existing sets can be remixed for other themes.
71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block is available now for £169.99 / $199.99 / €199.99.
