More details emerge on Agatha: Coven of Chaos

A Marvel TV show inspired by the malevolent Agatha Harkness is on track – with a mix of old and new faces recently confirmed to appear in it.

Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn) is due to headline her own show in late 2023, known as Agatha: Coven of Chaos. First appearing in 2021 Marvel TV show WandaVision, she masquerades as Agnes – Wanda and Vision’s nosy neighbour – before revealing herself as something of a puppet master, and a rival magic user. Agatha: Coven of Chaos will presumably give her the spotlight she craves, although fine details about the show are yet to emerge.

What we do know (thanks to the Hollywood Reporter) is that Aubrey Plaza will be joining the show’s cast. Plaza is known for her work in Parks and Recreation and, more recently, The White Lotus – suggesting the show’s characters are in good hands. She’ll be accompanied by Joe Locke – who recently appeared in Netflix TV show Heartstopper – and Emma Caulfield, better known as Anya in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Caulfield was a semi-regular character on WandaVision, so her reappearance here is intriguing.

Naturally, the most important question here is whether any of these characters will earn LEGO versions. It’s hard to say at this stage, but their fellow WandaVision alumni (um, Wanda and Vision) appeared in the Collectable Minifigures range in 2021. The latter character is rumoured to reappear in his own show going forward, suggesting there’s fertile ground for new LEGO characters in this corner of the Marvel universe to appear.

For now, we’ll have to settle for re-watching WandaVision again. Wanda Maximoff (in her Scarlet Witch persona) can currently be found in 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, while Vision (in his current white form) is available for a reasonable price on the secondary market.
