More details on rumoured LEGO Marvel 76215 Hulkbuster

More details have surfaced on the rumoured new LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster – including a potentially higher price, a new release date and a change of set number.

Originally thought to be attached to product number 76210, the latest UCS-style Hulkbuster is now said to be numbered 76215 – which was previously reported to be a mystery $500 Marvel set coming later this year. That’s according to Instagram user 1414falconfan (via brick_clicker), who says the massive Iron Man mech will arrive in October.

Earlier reports suggested the new Hulkbuster would contain roughly 2,500 pieces and retail for $299.99, a price tag that brick_clicker says is still correct. However, azanibricknews claims that the follow-up to 2018’s 76105 The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition will now actually retail for $349.99 in the US, which is perhaps reflective of the LEGO Group’s price increases scheduled for August and September.

If the price for 76215 Hulkbuster was set for retailers before the LEGO Group decided to increase costs across a quarter of its portfolio, it’s entirely possible that it was indeed originally $299.99 – as first rumoured – but will now actually be $349.99 when it finally lands on shelves. That’s if it does at all, of course: for the moment, this is still just a rumour until confirmed otherwise.

But if 76215 Hulkbuster really is launching on October 1, it will do so the same day as another huge buildable figure in 71411 The Mighty Bowser, which was revealed yesterday. Check out that set in action by clicking here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
