More news on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga could be coming soon

While LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been delayed seemingly indefinitely, we might not have to wait too long for more news on TT Games’ saga-spanning sequel.

This June will see the return of E3, the video game industry’s biggest annual event, which was cancelled last year amid global lockdowns. A few big names have already said they won’t be in attendance – Sony, EA and Activision among them – but Nintendo, Xbox and Warner Bros. are all taking part in the completely-virtual showcase.

For LEGO Star Wars fans, it’s the last name on that list that should have sparked your interest: Warner Bros. has been the publisher of every single LEGO video game since it acquired developer TT Games in 2007, and is therefore largely responsible for marketing those titles – including LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

The publisher’s presence at E3 could be to promote any number of its other games, including Gotham Knights – but given this is the biggest platform for video games in the world (and where LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was first announced in 2019), it’s not unreasonable to hope that we might see more from a brick-built galaxy far, far away very soon.

E3 will be held online from June 12 to 15. You’ll be able to attend wherever you are in the world, and you can be sure that we’ll be tuning in for Warner Bros.’ announcements, just in case. For now, check out five characters and features we’re looking forward to seeing in the game, then head here to find out everything we already know about this hugely-anticipated title.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
