Ms. Marvel featurette goes behind-the-scenes of the Disney+ series

Marvel Studios has dropped a brand-new featurette that goes behind-the-scenes of the upcoming Disney+ superhero series.

The next Marvel Studios series to arrive on Disney+ will be Ms. Marvel streaming on June 8 and starring Iman Vellani as Khamala Khan. Set in the MCU, the show features the live-action debut of the teenage Pakistani-American hero who worships Captain Marvel.

To get fans excited for the arrival of the series, Marvel Studios has now released a short behind-the-scenes video that reveals a glimpse at the show’s creation. The footage includes the moment when Vellani found out she’d got the role and her initial reaction, Ms. Marvel using her powers in action, the cast and crew talking about the character and more.

The Ms. Marvel series was supposed to tie directly into The Marvels, the sequel to Captain Marvel, but the film has now moved from its original February release date to July 28, 2023. How this will affect the Disney+ show (if it all) is not yet known. Also unknown is exactly who the main protagonist in the series will be or if Carol Danvers herself will make an appearance at some point.

The LEGO Group doesn’t currently have plans to release any sets based around Ms. Marvel, but the character does appear in at least two different superhero costumes in the featurette, giving the company a couple of potential minifigure options.

Ms. Marvel will debut on Disney+ from June 8 and will consist of six episodes. This will then be followed by Thor: Love and Thunder in cinemas on July 8 and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on the streaming channel from August 17.
