New LEGO Fortnite 2025 sets fix the theme’s biggest issue

LEGO Fortnite appears to have learned from the criticisms levelled against the first wave, as its four upcoming summer 2025 sets are revealed.

Four new LEGO Fortnite sets have been revealed, coming out in June and August of this year. That’s only the second wave of sets based on the LEGO Fortnite video game collaboration but the LEGO Group seems to have taken on fan feedback rapidly.

When the first few LEGO Fortnite sets came out, the only one to include minifigures was 77073 Battle Bus. The others were more display-focused builds, which is all well and good – but leaves little room for play.

The second wave also brings digital freebies with each and every set, with two included in the biggest and most expensive set. Not only does this give LEGO Fortnite fans more content to enjoy, but it also helps bring more LEGO fans to the video game and more Fortnite players to LEGO sets.

Brick Fanatics‘ Matthew takes a closer look at the newly-revealed LEGO Fortnite summer sets in our latest video and what these tweaks to the theme could mean for LEGO Fortnite and the wider LEGO system.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
