Three new LEGO Marvel Spider-Man sets out now

Today sees the launch of three new LEGO Marvel Spider-Man sets, alongside the debut of this year’s Guardians of the Galaxy-themed advent calendar.

A smattering of new releases from across themes including Star Wars, Collectible Minifigures and LEGO Ideas are joined by four brand new Marvel sets, comprising three buildable action figures (like BIONICLE, but not BIONICLE) and a seasonal set in 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar.

That festive release takes inspiration from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which will arrive on Disney+ later this year, and features minifigures of Drax and Nebula in suitably seasonal Xmas jumpers. You’ll also find Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Mantis behind the calendar’s 24 doors, along with a whole host of relevant mini builds.

While the calendar traditionally won’t be opened until December 1, you’ll probably want to order as soon as possible to secure your copy: the licensed advent calendars typically sell out long before December. If you want a more immediate Marvel fix, there are also a trio of new Spider-Man figures available today, including Miles Morales and Venom.

These sets follow the formula established by 76206 Iron Man Figure earlier this year, only with a reduced piece count and price. That should make them easier to collect and display together, and the three characters are clearly designed to be complementary. Here’s a full rundown of all today’s new LEGO Marvel sets, including their prices and piece counts:

Set namePricePiecesMinifigures
76225 Miles Morales Figure£24.99 / $24.99 / €29.99238N/A
76226 Spider-Man Figure£24.99 / $24.99 / €29.99258N/A

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
