New LEGO Star Wars animated special to be revealed at D23

Another LEGO Star Wars animated special is coming and will be shown early at D23 next month, and we might already know its name.

The D23 schedule for Disney's next big event has been announced, taking place between August 14 and 16. While most of the panels will be focusing on updates for Disney's future movies and theme park expansions, there's a certain something for us LEGO fans, too.

A LEGO Star Wars screening event will take place on August 15 at 10:00am on the Hyperion Stage. The description teases a screening of an all-new LEGO Star Wars animated adventure with iconic characters, laughs, and action. More details are confirmed to be on the way, but an additional detail may have been inadvertently revealed.

We can confirm that the name of this early screening has changed since the D23 schedule was originally uploaded. It was originally titled LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian Early Screening, as recorded by Mollie Damon.

Whether this new animated feature will be based on The Mandalorian has not been confirmed officially, and it's possible that the original title was changed because it was simply incorrect. Stay tuned for more details as we receive them.
