LEGO NINJAGO to return to the Dark Island in new story

Two new LEGO NINJAGO books have been confirmed, including a new story in the Dark Island following the re-release of the original trilogy this year.

AMEET's website has been updated with the LEGO book catalogue for 2027. Though it includes no word of any more exclusive minifigures, there are some notable reveals in the NINJAGO section.

Alongside the first LEGO NINJAGO Masters of Spinjitzu comic book, which was revealed earlier this month for next March, there's a second book in this series confirmed for the second half of the year. The description suggests that the narrative of the pilot season will be split into two parts, rather than being told in one book.

It's also stated that both books will include a minifigure. The first comic is listed as featuring Blacksmith Kai from 71858 Four Weapons Blacksmith, and the second is listed to include Samurai X from 71866 Ninja Character Display

Another book named Return to Dark Island has also been confirmed for the first half of 2027, continuing the 2023 Garmadon
graphic novel and revisiting locations and characters from the 2026 Dark Island Trilogy re-release. We recently reviewed that re-release, too. It's stated that this book is to include a Garmadon minifigure.

Covers for these books have not been revealed, and neither have any additional details. Stay tuned for information ahead of their release windows in 2027.
