New LEGO VIP rewards delve into the archives

The new LEGO VIP scheme has introduced a couple of new rewards, introducing the new LEGO Originals series of prints.

LEGO.com launched a new VIP scheme in the last few months, offering rewards that fans can ‘buy’ using their accumulated points. Two new rewards have been available, that seem to be kicking off a new series of prints titled LEGO Originals.

The first print, measuring 25.5cm x 31.6cm, is a page from the Japanese Patent Application for the LEGO DUPLO brick, replicating the 1960 document. It is limited to 5,000 and requires 1,500 VIP points.

The second print is a technical drawing based on the 1930s design of the classic LEGO Wooden Duck, replicating the 1958 document. This one is not mentioned as being limited in quantity, but is described as a “first edition art print”. Also measuring 31.6cm x 22.5cm, it requires 650 points.

Fans looking to get their hands on these new items will need to login to the LEGO.com VIP area and redeem the items using their points. They will then be sent a one-off code that can be used with any order at the website and the reward item will be shipped alongside the order.
