New LEGO Xmas GWP available now – and pre-orders count

Another festive LEGO gift-with-purchase is now available with qualifying spends in the form of 40778 Winter Gazebo – and pre-orders count towards the threshold.

The LEGO Group is looking ahead to Christmas with its latest free gift at LEGO.com, which serves up a cute 245-piece snow-covered gazebo and three musical minifigures. It’s free with all orders above £135 / $150 / €150 until December 9, or while stocks last – so well-timed for anyone doing any post-Black Friday Christmas shopping.

More interestingly, pre-orders also seem to be back on the menu for this gift-with-purchase. While pre-orders have always qualified for double Insiders points during relevant promo windows, they stopped counting towards gifts-with-purchase a little while ago – but the fine print makes no mention of their exclusion for 40778 Winter Gazebo, and indeed the GWP is showing up in baskets with pre-orders.

That’s good news if you’ve already bought everything currently available from your wishlist (perhaps taking the plunge over LEGO Insiders Weekend or Black Friday), and are now looking ahead to what’s coming in 2026. It’s so serendipitous, in fact, that it feels completely deliberate… so no guarantees that pre-orders will count for every gift-with-purchase going forward. This could just be a one-off.

In any case, there are nearly 100 LEGO sets available to pre-order at the official online store right now, including a vast number of new 2026 sets revealed this week – such as 71515 Tiger Shark Tank, 75440 AT-AT, 71860 Lloyd’s Titan Mech, 60508 Police Train Heist and 76466 Philosopher’s Stone Collectors’ Edition. Click through to LEGO.com to check out the full range.

You can also find a complete list of LEGO sets revealed this week by heading here. 40778 Winter Gazebo is free with all purchases at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores above £135 / $150 / €150 through December 9, 2025, or while stocks last.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

I think Lego wants to be able to plan better for January staff and supply levels and might even ship some things in December to clear out warehouse space. So that’s why they’re dangling that carrot in front of us today. Willy Wonka factory is still in 4x points status in the US. The Maze was an unexpected bonus GWP at the $150 level today. So…. A Willy Wonka order today would net 4x points, Gazebo GWP, Maze GWP, and Ninjago GWP.

A correction to my previous comment. Magic Maze seems to be the $75 level. Also, the Ninjago GWP changed from the garden to city market.
