Olivia Rodrigo launches worldwide LEGO vinyl hunt

The LEGO Group's partnership with Olivia Rodrigo resulted in a special event for fans in Los Angeles, including the start of a hunt for hidden vinyls in stores.

Yesterday, the LEGO Group hosted dozens of Olivia Rodrigo fans inside Licorice Pizza Records for a special event. The venue was decorated with oversized LEGO elements and sculptures to celebrate the launch of the new LEGO Olivia Rodrigo sets next month.

The LEGO installations included a 2.42m x 2.50m brick-built recreation of Olivia's viral floating Concert Moon, made from 77,000 LEGO bricks. A much smaller version can be found in 43029 Olivia Rodrigo’s Concert Moon for £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99.

"Getting to watch everyone explore the LEGO Editions sets today and discover their favourite details was amazing," said Olivia Rodrigo after surprising fans by attending the event.

"We wanted to create something that felt different and something my fans could be part of. Kicking it all off at Licorice Pizza made it even more memorable. It was such a fun way to celebrate the collaboration with the LEGO Group."

The event also started a worldwide scavenger hunt to find one of 333 limited-edition brick-built vinyl records hidden in record stores around the world. A post shared by the LEGO Group on Instagram hides clues for where these record stores are located. Each of the coordinates corresponds to a specific record store.

Five new LEGO Editions sets based on the artist are launching later this week on August 1, and the event saw fans receive one of them a few days early.
