LEGO’s latest partnership may be teasing the rumoured Fortnite collaboration

A new part of the Play Unstoppable campaign may be teasing the rumoured LEGO Fortnite collaboration, including a Fortnite BrickHeadz.

Earlier this year, rumour of a LEGO appearance of some kind in Fortnite surfaced but it has remained a rumour since. This followed a $1bn investment in Fortnite developer Epic Games. Now, a video featuring content creator Loserfruit has surfaced for the Play Unstoppable campaign.

Loserfruit frequently plays Fortnite and even has a skin and accessories in the game based on her that players can purchase. On her YouTube channel, she plays other games including Minecraft and has previously been sponsored to play LEGO 2K Drive.

At first glance, this may not be a teaser for the rumoured Fortnite collaboration, but simply a partnership with a well-known content creator to promote the ongoing Play Unstoppable campaign through the lens of gaming.

However, a custom BrickHeadz at the start of the teaser specifically recreates Loserfruit’s official skin and pickaxe from Fortnite. This may have necessitated getting permission to use it in advertising from Epic Games, depending on who owns the likeness rights for the skin.

At the time of writing, the rumoured LEGO Fortnite collaboration is only a rumour. The Play Unstoppable campaign also includes football players and 40634 Icons of Play.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
