Here’s a reasonable prediction for the rumoured $200 LEGO Pokémon set

With a trio of LEGO Pokémon rumoured to be priced at $650, we’re predicting which other character might be popping up in a potential 2026 set.

A huge number of LEGO Pokémon sets are rumoured to be arriving at some point next year, possibly as many as 28 models in 2026, although no official announcements have been forthcoming so far as to exactly which builds those may be.

The most recent hints have pointed to a trio of characters potentially popping up in the rumoured 72153 Bulbasaur, Squirtle & Charmander. That LEGO Pokémon set is said to be priced at a whopping $650 for 6,838 pieces, which could give some indication as to what another upcoming build based on the long-running Nintendo video game series might be.

As things currently stand, rumours suggest that 72152 may be a 2,050-piece 18+ build priced at $199.99 and releasing February 27, 2026. With 72153 Bulbasaur, Squirtle & Charmander said to include a trio of Gen 1 starter characters for roughly three times that price and piece count, then it might therefore suggest that 72152 could be based on another fan-favourite starter Pokémon, Pikachu.

A blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo of the electric mouse appeared in the original video tease for the announcement for the LEGO Pokémon theme earlier this year, plus the character was the starter Pokémon in Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition released in 1996.

Considering Pikachu’s popularity and visibility, a reasonably-priced brick-built version of the character is surely a given and would definitely makes sense as part of a first wave of model releases next year.

For now though, that remains pure speculation on our part and fans will have to wait and see exactly which LEGO Pokémon sets are revealed over the next few months.
