LEGO Pokémon has been officially confirmed for 2026

After years of demand and thousands of fan-designed models, LEGO Pokémon is officially launching next year and the first teaser is here.

The partnership that LEGO enthusiasts of all ages worldwide have been dreaming of has finally been confirmed. LEGO Pokémon is almost certain to be a hit with fans when it launches next year. This follows a strong partnership with Nintendo and other gaming companies, leading to the likes of LEGO Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Horizon, Minecraft and Sonic the Hedgehog.

The exact details of the LEGO Pokémon partnership have yet to be confirmed, aside from an arrival in 2026, but a new teaser for the range has been shared online. As expected, Pikachu will be part of the offerings as a brick-built version of their tail appears on-screen.

“We are thrilled to be working with a brand that has such a deep and passionate fanbase as Pokémon, partnering to give our joint audiences what they have been asking us for,” said Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer of the LEGO Group. “We strongly believe that through the endless possibilities of LEGO play and the exciting adventures the world of Pokémon brings, this partnership will create a range of new possibilities for Trainers and builders alike.”

“The LEGO Group and Pokémon have strong shared values of imagination, creativity and fun, making this the perfect partnership to deliver unique, meaningful and engaging ways for Trainers to experience the Pokémon brand,” shared Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International.

“Working with the best-in-class team at the LEGO Group and seeing their dedication and passion for the project has culminated in an innovative and groundbreaking collaboration that will surprise and delight fans. We cannot wait to see both LEGO fans and the Pokémon community’s reactions in 2026.”

The concept of LEGO Pokémon is nothing new after years of fan-designed builds demanding such a partnership, and even an officially-promoted model based on two of the most recent games. Starting next year, LEGO Pokémon will be a reality and the possibilities for the theme are nearly endless, including everything from minifigure-scale creations to buildable figures.

LEGO Pokémon will be the second theme tying into an anime franchise after One Piece later this year, though that’s going to be based on the Netflix live-action adaptation of the anime. Aside from one Detective Pikachu movie, Pokémon has no such adaptation and is most well-known for its anime iterations of the creatures and characters seen in the games.

Start saving up now for 2026 as LEGO Pokémon is on the way and you’ll probably want to catch them all. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting partnership as we receive them. A teaser page for the collaboration is now live on LEGO.com, but has no further details at the time of writing.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
