LEGO One Piece Netflix theme officially announced
The LEGO Group has officially announced LEGO One Piece is on the way in 2025 as part of its latest partnership with Netflix.
Following pitches on LEGO Ideas for several anime series, as well as the likes of the anime-inspired Exo-Force, the LEGO Group is finally embracing anime fully with a new One Piece theme – but with a twist. It’s going to be based on the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga series from Netflix and the first details are here.
“This is a truly special collaboration,” said Lena Dixen, Senior Vice President for Core Businesses at the LEGO Group. “For the first time, LEGO play and the exciting world of anime meet. Building the world of One Piece, as depicted in the Netflix live-action adaptation, in LEGO brick form has been such an exciting challenge and I couldn’t be more excited for fans to experience the new adventures this One Piece collaboration will bring them for the first time.”
The theme’s sets have not yet been revealed, but they are confirmed to feature the main crew, consisting of Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, Roronoa Zoro, Usopp and Sanji, all likely based on their live-action actors.
For those unfamiliar with the anime or the adaptation, Luffy is the captain of the crew and wears a straw hat. Unlike the rest of the crew, Luffy has elastic powers from a supernatural Devil Fruit, not dissimilar to Marvel’s Mr. Fantastic. The show tells the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates as they sail across the world to find the treasure of legendary pirate king Gol D. Roger – which is fittingly named One Piece – and finding it will make Luffy the new king.
“It has been an honour to bring the magnificent world of One Piece to life both on and off the screen,” shared Josh Simon, Vice President of Consumer Products at Netflix. “We are excited to collaborate with the LEGO Group, a brand synonymous with creativity and the joy of play, to mark a historic moment as we build out the treasured manga’s adventures in iconic LEGO form for the first time ever.

“Through every detail of the design process, we’ve worked to meticulously create a collection of playsets that will give fans new ways to live out their own epic voyages into the Grand Line one special LEGO brick at a time.”
While a release date for the sets has not been confirmed at the time of writing, rumours state that they’re coming in August. The press release only confirms that they are on the way in the coming months but before Season 2 of the adaptation, which is confirmed for some stage in 2025 currently.
The sets will be inspired by scenes from the Netflix series, but further details are scarce. A full reveal will follow at an undisclosed date, and it is stated to include both products and experiences. Products would align with LEGO One Piece sets but exactly what is meant by ‘experiences’ is unclear, though it might be referring to launch events to promote the new theme.
Stay tuned for more LEGO One Piece news as it arrives and the arrival of the first-ever anime theme later this year. For now, check out the first rumoured details on the launch wave of sets in the table below (but remember that these details have yet to be confirmed).
