To celebrate the reveal of the brand new LEGO SpongeBob BrickHeadz, you can build your own Patrick version to place alongside it.
Last week, two LEGO SpongeBob sets were revealed, bringing the theme back after more than a decade. LEGO Icons 11386 SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom is the larger of the two releases, while 40858 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure offers a more affordable way to enter Bikini Bottom.
However, neither set launches until September 1, and if you want to scratch your SpongeBob itch before then, Penguins and Plastic has the perfect solution.

The designer has shared a 179-piece BrickHeadz-style Patrick Star model on Rebrickable, giving fans the chance to create their own version of SpongeBob’s best friend. The build features the signature BrickHeadz eyes and display stand, while recreating Patrick’s starfish shape and his iconic green and purple shorts.
Patrick is also holding a net for catching jellyfish, with details including his rounded belly and pointed head. The design would make a great companion piece for 40858 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure once the official set finally arrives on shelves.

The PDF instructions are available now for $3.50, while the estimated cost of the required parts is around £12.02. For those who would rather stick with the official LEGO sets, they’ll be arriving soon.
The 1,794-piece LEGO Icons 11386 SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom launches on September 1 for £189.99 / $219.99 / €209.99, while the 72-piece 40858 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure arrives on the same date for £10.99 / $12.99 / €12.99.
