LEGO pulls surprise DREAMZzz crossover teaser from YouTube

The teaser for an unexpected crossover between LEGO DREAMZzz, Fast & Furious and How to Train Your Dragon has been taken down for unknown reasons.

Yesterday, the LEGO Group uploaded a teaser to YouTube revealing that its original DREAMZzz theme would cross over with two of its licensed themes. However, the video has since been removed, leaving the collaboration's future unclear.

The short teaser showed Z-Blob meeting Toothless, while both the title and description confirmed that Fast & Furious cars would also feature.

The LEGO Group has not explained why it removed the video. It may simply have been uploaded ahead of schedule, as the company did not promote the teaser on any of its other social media channels before taking it down. However, that remains purely speculative.

The teaser's detailed description suggested the collaboration would be video-based rather than centred on new sets, and also confirmed that Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon would appear. That could mean an official LEGO Hiccup minifigure already exists.

If so, it could hint at more play-focused How to Train Your Dragon sets beyond the current 10375 How to Train Your Dragon: Toothless. That set is a buildable display model rather than a traditional playset, something many fans at the time disagreed with.

LEGO DREAMZzz is currently scheduled to retire all of its remaining sets by the end of 2026, effectively bringing the theme to a close. However, the existence of this trailer could suggest the theme still has one final surprise in store – or that the LEGO Group wants to expand the DREAMZzz universe one last time before it ends.
