Rebuild LEGO 75335 BD-1 into the Mantis in time for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

An ingenious alternate build for 75335 BD-1 has been shared to get you ready for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as a LEGO Mantis can now be yours.

There’s only one set based on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor so we’re without an official LEGO version of the Stinger Mantis so far. However, Ikarus Studios on YouTube aims to change that with a different assembly of 75335 BD-1

No step-by-step instructions are provided but they do take the model apart to show you how it is put together. Despite being an alternate build, its features include moving landing gear, wings and the engine just like the ship in-game.

The colour scheme of this alternate model isn’t the same as the Stinger Mantis’ normal look. However, it is similar to the Crimson skin featured in the deluxe edition of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

75335 BD-1 is available now, in case you want to pick up a copy and make this fan-made Stinger Mantis in time for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on April 28, when the ship will return. However, the official model isn’t bad either, as mentioned in our review

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
