Clemens Fiedler came up with the original concept for the set which is simply bursting with detail and decorative touches. There are many features that make this set feel carefully considered, from the wooden beams and mossy roof tiles, to the bearskin rug in the attic, to the light brick nestled inside the forge (to look like fire).

The LEGO Icons set comes with a pair of Black Falcon knights, an archer, a blacksmith and even a Husky dog. 21325 Medieval Blacksmith could be the most intricate LEGO castle set of all time – arguably even better than 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle released last year.

It’s unlikely that John Lewis will discount this set again before it retires, so make sure to grab it while you still can.
