Retired LEGO Ideas free gift available again at LEGO.com

Last year’s LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase 40487 Sailboat Adventure is available once more at LEGO.com with qualifying spends.

Billed as a ‘mystery free gift’ that becomes a lot less mysterious when you look in your basket, 40487 Sailboat Adventure is free online only – so, not in LEGO Stores – with orders of at least £150 / €150 in the UK and Europe. You’ve got until April 30, or while stocks last, to claim the freebie.

The result of a LEGO Ideas ‘dream holiday’ contest, 40487 Sailboat Adventure – based on a concept by fan designer Yan Chevalier – was originally available in August 2021, but clearly didn’t completely sell out at the first time of asking. Packing in 330 pieces, it’s a substantial and high-quality free gift, as you can read in our detailed review.

Also currently available at LEGO.com is 30433 Volvo Wheel Loader, a Technic polybag that’s free with a £40 / €40 spend across LEGO Technic, Creator 3-in-1 and/or Speed Champions sets. Spend £150 / €150 on products across those themes, and you’ll qualify for both current freebies in one fell swoop. 30433 Volvo Wheel Loader is also available in ‘certain LEGO Stores’, through April 30 or while stocks last.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
