Retiring LEGO Winter Village set will come to life at UK retailer

LEGO displays at a UK retailer across the country will be based on a retiring LEGO Winter Village model, offering attendees a ‘special set’.

Two LEGO Winter Village sets are retiring at the end of 2025, including 10339 Santa’s Post Office. While this will leave 10361 Holiday Express Train alone on shelves until this time next year, UK fans can at least experience the set in an all-new way through a retailer’s grotto experience based on the LEGO model.

John Lewis has announced plans to partner with the LEGO Group for Santa’s Enchanted Grotto, based on 10339 Santa’s Post Office, which is exclusive to the retailer and the LEGO Group in the UK. The website teases that guests will take to the skies before journeying through the build and meeting Santa at the end.

It’s also confirmed that attendees will leave with a ‘special LEGO set’. What that set is has not been confirmed, including whether it is something that has been made exclusively for this experience. It’s almost certain not to be a copy of 10339 Santa’s Post Office, though, since tickets cost £25 for children and £5 for adults. The LEGO Enchanted Grotto experience is taking place only at John Lewis in Oxford and Cardiff, but other LEGO Christmas events featuring the special set are taking place across the country, with only a few places sold out at the time of writing.

Those unable to attend the event can still look forward to seeing how the retiring LEGO Winter Village set is realised in grotto form, celebrating the end of 10339 Santa’s Post Office‘s lifespan in style. 10339 Santa’s Post Office is available now for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 before its retirement later this year.
