Rumoured Harry Potter TV series reboot could be coming to HBO

Harry Potter may be rebooted soon as a TV series with one season per film as rumour has it that a change could be coming to the Wizarding World.

As reported by Bloomberg, a reboot of Harry Potter may be on the way in the form of a TV series on HBO. The rumour is that HBO is closing on a deal that could see the seven-film series could be adapted with one season per film.

It’s believed that this would allow more time to dive into the Wizarding World and expand on the stories seen on the big screen.

Exactly how involved J. K. Rowling would be in this new series is unconfirmed, but the report claims that Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav and HBO CEO Casey Bloys had to convince the author to let the company produce the new series, which is believed to air on HBO and online.

This could provide some inspiration, or at least an excuse for more sets, to the LEGO Harry Potter design team though this rumour has yet to be confirmed. It could also be a chance for new minifigures as it seems unlikely that the original cast would return, due to the time that passed since the films.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
