Rumoured LEGO Technic 42176 could debut brand new hub

LEGO Technic 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance may only be a rumour but official documents suggest that it may offer some new technology.

The rumoured LEGO Technic 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance may be debuting a brand new LEGO Technic hub and better according to the official online store’s battery documentation page, as discovered by RacingBrick.

The various documents on the section of the page titled 42176, which could correspond to the rumoured set of the same number, include pictures of a new LEGO Technic hub with motors and a rechargeable battery box.

Exactly how this might function differently to the current iteration of the LEGO Technic hub is unknown but images in the documents seem to hint that it has three motors.

In its appearance, the new piece is longer than the current LEGO Technic hub. With the rumours that 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance could include working and rear lights too, there may be room for the motors and slots for the lights in this element.

While the official page seems to confirm that something is on the way in the form of LEGO Technic 42176, it being a Porsche GT4 e-Performance is only a rumour at the time of writing and it should be taken with caution until officially announced otherwise.
