While a new microscale Hogwarts Castle is rumoured, reports suggest that it won’t be nearly as big as 71043 Hogwarts Castle, which uses 6,020 pieces to recreate the main section of the magic and magical school at a small scale. Right now, you pick up the build for £379.99 instead of £409.99 at Zavvi, in case you don’t want to wait for the next big discount, provided one ever comes.

Though it includes some minifigures, they aren’t Harry, Ron or Hermione, but instead depict the founders – Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin in four exclusive minifigures complete with a display stand with a logo for each of the four houses.

71043 Hogwarts Castle is otherwise microscale with a staggering 27 microfigures of familiar characters and generic students to recreate scenes at a small scale. You’ll need rooms to pose these minifigures and at the back of the castle, you can find the offices, the chessboard, classrooms, the Great Hall and plenty of miniature magical artefacts.

The massive LEGO Harry Potter is a treat for enthusiasts of the Wizarding World but the fun extends beyond the walls of the school with Hagrid’s Hut, the boats students use to arrive, the Whomping Willow, Dementors and even the Hungarian horntail using a minuscule number of pieces but still packing in detail.
