Second live action Star Wars series announced for Disney+
Disney has announced that Disney+, the company’s new streaming service, will get a second live action Star Wars series.
When Disney+ – the entertainment giant’s new streaming service – launches next year, it will feature a new Star Wars live action series titled The Mandalorian, which is currently filming. Next year, a second series will go into production that is set prior to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The show will focus on the Rebellion and specifically the character of Cassian Andor.
Diego Luna will reprise the role for the series. “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” he told StarWars.com. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”

The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.
