A first image from the new live-action Star Wars television series, The Mandalorian, has been shared along with an announcement of the show’s directors.

The live-action Star Wars television series, being developed for the new Disney streaming service, was given a name yesterday – The Mandalorian. Now, the official Star Wars website has announced the directors who will bring the screenplays to life.

Here is the official synopsis:

Production on the first Star Wars live-action streaming series has begun! After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Jon Favreau is writing and executive producing the series, aptly as he voiced Mandalorian extremist Pre Visla in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Dave Filoni, the Lucasfilm Animation expert, will direct the first episode of the series. Other talent taking up the directorial reigns during the 10 episode run includes Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

Along with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson will executive produce the series and Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer.
