See the life-size LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron in person

Remember the life-size LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron that the LEGO Group revealed back in August? Well, if you’ve been keen to check it out for yourself, you’ll soon have the chance to do so – provided you’re in the UK.

Following on from an appearance at the Paris Motor Show earlier this month, the astonishing Bugatti model will be on display at three locations around the UK in November. First, it’s heading to Westfield London on November 1, from 10:00am until 10:00pm. Then, it’ll move on to Westfield Stratford on November 3, where you’ll be able to check it out from 9:00am until 9:00pm. Finally, Bluewater in Dartford will host the model from 12:00pm through 9:00pm on November 8.

The car is built of 90% LEGO elements – around 1 million in total – and has a top speed of approximately 20km/h. That’s not quite a patch on the real Bugatti Chiron’s absurd 420km/h top speed, but considering it’s achieved through just Power Functions motors, it’s still pretty incredible.

The LEGO Group promises that visitors to the car at Westfield or Bluewater will be able to:

Of course, the massive amount of engineering that went into creating this behemoth wasn’t for nought:LEGO Technic 42083 Bugatti Chiron is available now at shop.LEGO.com.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
