Star Wars Cassian Andor television series expected in 2020

The second live action Star Wars television series focused on Cassian Andor is going into production this year, so is expected to debut in 2020.

It was previously announced that Diego Luna will be reprising his role of Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story for a new live action Star Wars television series. This is a separate project to The Mandalorian, but will also be released on the new Disney+ streaming service. Jedi News reports that Production Weekly has revealed that the new series will go into production this year and therefore likely premiere in 2020.

LEGO Star Wars sets should be released alongside the launch of the series in 2020, especially as no new movies set in the galaxy far, far away are slated to be released that year. 2019 is set to be a busy year for the theme, as it marks 20 years since it launched and will see the release of Episode IX in December.
