Another new Star Wars series, Tales of the Jedi, is announced for late 2022

Adding to the ever-growing roster of Star Wars shows on Disney+, Tales of the Jedi will focus on Ahsoka Tano and a pre-dark side Count Dooku.

Details are starting to emerge of the latest addition to the Star Wars Universe. At the Star Wars Celebration last week, some fans got to see a trailer and an episode of Tales of the Jedi, a new animated series from the overworked mind of Dave Filoni. From what we know, the Disney+ series will have six episodes, with three focusing on various stages of Ahsoka Tano’s life, while the other three will look at Count Dooku before his fall to the dark side.

Liam Neeson is also present, reprising his role as the ill-fated Qui-Gon Jinn while the trailer suggests that the characters of Anakin Skywalker, Bail Organa and Mace Windu, among others, will also make an appearance. The show’s style is taken directly from that of The Clone Wars, also a Filoni production, and each 15-minute episode was written by Filoni along with Clone Wars writer, Charles Murray.

No specific release date has been announced yet, other than ‘late 2022’. Whenever it hits our screens, LEGO Star Wars fans will no doubt be hoping that the series brings the opportunity for some new sets and minifigures. Ahsoka Tano has been very much in the news of late – at the beginning of the year she received her own BrickHeadz set, while more recently it was announced that she is to get her own TV series.
