Star Wars: The Bad Batch confirmed for third and final season

The end of Star Wars: The Bad Batch has been officially announced at Star Wars Celebration as the show’s third season will be its last.

Following the recent end of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 on Disney+, the series’ panel at Star Wars Celebration 2023 has confirmed that another instalment is coming in 2024. However, this will be the final chapter of the show.

A trailer was featured at the panel with a description provided by the Star Wars team. Note that the following contains spoilers for the finale of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 as well as the upcoming third season.

The trailer started with the Emperor visiting Doctor Hemlock on Mount Tantiss, the base where Omega was taken at the end of the second season to find Crosshair captured. All members of the Bad Batch are included in the footage with Hunter addressing Omega’s capture.

A scene of Omega conversing with a conscious crosshair is featured as the trailer transitions to glimpses of several worlds and characters, including Republic commandos, clones, Rex and giant creatures. Ming-Na Wen’s bounty hunter, Fennec Shand, from the first season also appears, confirming her for the final chapter.

The Bad Batch has only had a couple of sets so far, both based on the first season, though with a year between their release dates. 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle has since retired but 75323 The Justifier is still available with the exclusive Omega minifigure as well as Fennec ahead of her upcoming appearance.
