Star Wars: The High Republic Jedi characters revealed

Fans can get a look at the new Star Wars characters from The High Republic era, who just may become LEGO minifigures further down the line.

With no new films on the horizon, Lucasfilm is drumming up interest in the Star Wars publishing program, focusing announcements on The High Republic – a new series of Star Wars novels and comic books that will be set within the same era of the timeline.

Set around 200 years before The Phantom Menace, the books will introduce new characters, predominantly ‘aspirational and inspirational’ Jedi. While the LEGO Star Wars theme does not often base sets on Expanded Universe material, it does on occasion, and these new Jedi Knights have potential to make it into the minifigure line up.

Here are the new Jedi revealed by StarWars.com:

“Readers will see a very wide variety of Jedi in this era,” says Lucasfilm Publishing creative director Michael Siglain. “This is a hopeful, optimistic time, when the Jedi are good and noble, and we want to reflect that in their characters while still giving them enough depth and dimension so that their individual personalities and idiosyncrasies shine through. The Jedi Knights of the High Republic are both aspirational and inspirational. In short, they’re the good guys.”
