Strong start for LEGO CITY Undercover

LEGO CITY Undercover’s release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch has propelled the title back into the UK video game sales charts, whilst LEGO Worlds continues strong.

Originally an exclusive release on the Wii U back in March 2013, LEGO CITY Undercover received wider release on PS4, Xbox One and Switch last week.

With a first week of sales on these consoles, the game positions in today’s released UK software charts at number eight. When the game debuted in the chart a little over four years ago, it placed 12th.

Interestingly, the title has sold best on Switch, where in that game-specific chart it is listed as 14th, compared with its PS4-only chart position of 26th.

Meanwhile, LEGO Worlds enjoys another week in the overall sales chart’s top three, listing once more at third place behind the much-hyped Persona 5, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

There are two other LEGO titles still in the UK software charts top 40 – LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens sits in 31st position, whilst LEGO Marvel Avengers rises one place to 39th.
